Papercraft

Paper craft Instructions

Head:

Cut out the head of the figure.

Then crease the folded edges of the figure and line up the tabs with the same letter. (Ex: A to A)

Once you have the head assembled there are two lines on the bottom cut along the line to make an incision.

Body:

Cut out the body of the figure.

Crease the edges of the body so that it can fold.

Then you will match the letters with the same-labeled tab as you have done for the head.

Then the two edges standing up labeled H and I will slide into the head figure that you have made incisions on.

On the back of the body there are numbers labeled 1,2,3,4 this is for the backpack to be attached. Cut out the backpack and fold then place the numbered tabs in the incisions on the back.

Arms:

Repeat the following instructions as you have done with the head and body, and then take the incision labels O, N, and place them with the body as labeled.

Legs:

Fold the edges of the object; place the same-tagged labels together. The edges sticking up will be placed on the bottom of the body.

At semesters end

I think i have came along way starting from the beginning of the semester till now. My perspective on objects has evolved greatly as i have improved on that. My values on bringing objects forward and backward has improved. I think i have done well this semester starting from when i first came to class up until now.

Choice of medium (4/21)

I picked the conte as my choice the texture and smoothness it has rolling on to paper is nice. It makes good lines and has really dark value. I prefer it over the charcoal and pencil when it comes to a drawing.

Blind Contour (3/24)

The movement that you feel from not being able to look at what you are drawing felt weird. During the drawing i felt that everything was pretty much in shape, until i looked at the finished piece and it looked nothing like a person at all. It was a fun assignment.
